Registration: 8:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | Program: 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Energy is critical to economic growth and progress throughout the world.  Because of energy's universal significance, it is important for government leaders, businesspersons and civil society, including consumers, to understand the fundamental realities that govern energy demand and supply on a global basis. Special guest speaker Scott Nauman, Corporate Strategic Planning Manager, Corporate Planning Department of ExxonMobil, will present an assessment of energy supply and demand through 2040. He will discuss the link between economic progress and energy consumption and examine the underlying factors shaping energy supply and demand challenges around the world. In addition, the presentation will cover renewables, oil sands, "fracking," the growing demand for power generation and transportation, and reduction of CO2 emissions. Breakfast will be served.

The event is sponsored by ExxonMobil and co-organized by College of Business Administration, and School of International and Public Affairs.

The event is free and open to the public, but RSVP is required. RSVP deadline is February 17, 2012.
